Dear Friends,

Welcome to sambeller.org, the web site dedicated to Samuel Lukas Beller, his family and friends. This site is 100% designed, supported, and maintained by friends of the Beller family…

A little bit of history...

For those of us fortunate to have known David and Kelly Beller over the years, we have been personally impressed and inspired by their love for God, for each other, and for their children. And we’ve admired how they embrace life’s challenges with such a moving faith.

When Sam was born in January 1993, you could instantly see how David and Kelly loved their new child with all of their being. And as Sam’s challenges gradually became apparent, David and Kelly never even blinked. Not to imply that it has been easy for them, rather it is evidence to their character, their commitment to Sam, and to their unending faith in God.

And that brings us to Sam… Continuing to live and bravely face the daily challenges of cerebral palsy that most of us cannot imagine, Sam will never know how much he has touched and inspired those of us that know him. Suffice it to say that the Bellers are a magical family to know.

So what can we do?

Sam underwent major scoliosis surgery on March 29th, 2000, and the doctors warn that it would be the toughest recovery that his body has ever endured. Sam came through that and ongoing challenges continue. And as the Bellers continue to face difficult medical decisions for Sam, they ask for your ongoing prayers for wisdom and for the best possible recovery for Sam.

In addition to prayer, we can help Sam and his family in another way, (although they would never ask for it):

We can all imagine the tremendous financial responsibilities the Bellers courageously face to meet Sam’s daily needs, not to mention the expensive and specialized medical attention Sam requires. Imagine also the logistical challenges the Bellers face daily to make their family life work, to earn a living, and raise their 4 wonderful children…

Our mission...

The Friends of Sam Beller believe that if we can help alleviate some of the financial and logistical worries of Sam’s family, that helps free them up to focus all their energies on loving and raising and caring for Sam.

So the mission of this web site is simple:

  • Give the Bellers a way to keep friends and family informed on Sam’s life and events;
  • Provide a way to organize help for Sam and his family through donations and by posting other needs as they arise;
  • Increase the circle of hope, love, and support around Sam and his family.

Thank you for visiting Sam’s site. Please visit the Contact page to send us your comments and suggestions.

Respectfully,

Chris Howay
