Post 9/11 Message
Hello Sam Fanclub,
In light of the unsettling national events of September 11th, we thought we’d just put a message out on the site to wish everyone well.
All of our family and friends are safe. David’s cousin, Elizabeth, and her husband live in NY and ate dinner at the World Trade Center the evening before the disaster. A close call and we we thankful that our families are safe. Although, we are all affected.
We love seeing the nations heros change from athlete to fireman and policeman - people who are due honor and respect. We love seeing people come to the aid of others. We love seeing the spirit of America unite everyone. The flags never meant more to us in our lifetime than now.
Such tragic events put life in a totally different perspective. To many, the problems that existed a day earlier now seem so unimportant. We’ve all had a wake-up call. Even with the on-going medical struggles and challenges that Sam and our family face together, life in our house seems pretty darn sweet compared to the losses that other families have experienced.
Indeed, our life with Sam has ALWAYS been sweet. With crisis going on in the world, what better place to be than nuzzling into a kiss on the back of Sam’s neck?
God is good and we believe He is holding us all in a balance here on Earth. We trust Him fully with our lives. He will be victorious.
We pray that each of you can find your sweet spot in life right now - with those people who you love or need your love. They are the ones that matter.
